About our project
This web page aims at giving access to the personal stories of the Austrian Jews, who were deported from Vienna to Maly Trostinec (Blagovshchina site near Minsk) and murdered there. It guides you from faceless memorials to unique family legends - each one here is heartbreaking. The site contains the maps with the German Reichsbahn long-distance traffic way, trees and the name cards of the transported Jews and their fates (commemorative initiative of Waltraud Barton). Initiative: Juliana Mikolutskaya and Timur Borisevich (Museum of History and Culture of Jews of Belarus, Minsk). Created with the support of EHU (Students' Initiatives support program, Vilnius, Lithuania), Union of Belarusian Jewish Public Associations and Communities (Minsk, Belarus) and the Ambassador of Austria in Minsk Aloisia Wörgetter.
